GRANDMASTER YOON'S NEW HAPKIDO CLASS!
Dien's Martial Arts has the honor of Grandmaster Yoon starting a new Hapkido Self-Defense class at Eureka Community Center starting Sunday Feb 8th, 2009! Starting in June the new Hapkido classes will be offered on Tuesdays from 6:00PM - 7:15PM during 2 month sessions for the 2009 program year. Grandmaster Yoon has been an 8th Dan in Hapkido, Taekwondo and Judo for many years and is one of the highest ranking officials in the United States for these Martial Arts. The new Hapkido Students will be given opportunity for Belt rank advancement tests similar to Taekwondo and Judo classes. Students enrolling in Hapkido will need to have a Judo uniform.
Hapkido is Korean Self-defense combining taekwondo kicks and strikes, judo throws and holds, and joint locks. Hapkido has 3 basic principles: Non-resistance, circular motion, and soft harmony like water. Hapkido has gained more and more popularity during recent years. The number of people worldwide who practice Hapkido has increased strongly. Hapkido is a martial sport and martial art which is outstandingly suitable for self-defense. It can be learned both by men and by women, regardless of their age.
