Bruce Lee VS Kareem Abdul Jabaar in Game of Death Film
Speed and Power

Speed is the " Great Equalizer "!

Speed is the variable that enables a smaller person to generate the same amount or more power than a much larger adversary. Power is one of the essences of Tae Kwon Do and Judo. But where does Power come from?

Power comes from both the mass of an object and it's speed over time. Power is expressed by the simple equation of one half mass times velocity squared or (P = 1/2 M x V2) per unit of time. A good example of how speed can dramatically increase power is a bullet. The bullet is very small but travels so fast that it's power causes tremendous damage.
