DIEN'S MARTIAL ARTS - TAE KWON DO & JUDO CLUB
Dien's Martial Arts is run by Master Instructor Dien Nguyen. Dien Nguyen offers his students authentic training in traditional Taekwondo and Judo (both official Olympic sports), and Hapkido self defence with emphasis on physical fitness, recreation and competition. Master Dien Nguyen has been teaching and coaching Taekwondo and Judo since 1980. Dien has been the Head Instructor of four martial arts schools in the Greater St. Louis Area, including his current programs at the Eureka Community Center and with World Martial Arts in Belleville, IL. Dien has trained and promoted over 1800 Taekwondo and Judo students, and coached Junior and Senior National Teams and State Champions. Dien is a 5th Degree Kukkiwon Black Belt in Taekwondo, and has competed in and won numerous Taekwondo tournaments, and is a Missouri State Taekwondo Champion and National Medalist in Sparring and Forms. Dien is also a certified Taekwondo Referee for USA Taekwondo. Dien also holds a 3rd Degree KJA Black Belt in Judo, and is a Life Member of USJA.
Dien’s Martial Arts is one of the only schools in the Greater St. Louis Area that is authorized to award Black Belt Certificates from the official Olympic International Governing Organizations in Taekwondo and Judo, the Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters in Korea and the International Judo Federation (IJF) in Japan. Dien’s Martial Arts has direct connection to the Kukkiwon and IJF through our Grandmaster Chang Hee Yoon. Dien Nguyen was trained and promoted by Grandmaster Yoon. Grandmaster Yoon graduated from College in Seoul Korea and trained in the traditional techniques and forms used today by the Kukkiwon, Korea’s World Taekwondo Headquarters, and the Korea Judo Association, Korea’s IJF National Organization. Grandmaster Yoon has been promoted to 8th Dan by the Kukkiwon and KJA as one of the highest ranking martial arts officials in the United States. Grandmaster Yoon is also one of Korea's National and Military Champions in both Taekwondo and Judo, and has promoted over 600 Black Belts in Taekwondo and Judo.
Dien's Martial Arts school program allows students to learn at their own pace, while still accommodating competitive students at the state and national levels. Physical Curriculum includes: Warm-up Exercises, Drill Work, Bag Work, and Sparring for Stamina, Endurance, and Self-Defense. Mental Curriculum includes: Discipline, Respect, Sportsmanship, and Confidence. While many martial arts schools are available in the St. Louis area, Dien's Martial Arts offers quality training with flexible class schedules for a reasonable tuition. We strive to preserve the original art forms of Taekwondo, Judo, and Hapkido self defense classes that will help in dangerous and potentially life threatening situations.
