Master Instructor Dien Nguyen
Master Dien Nguyen offers his students authentic training in traditional Taekwondo and Judo (both official Olympic sports) with emphasis on physical fitness, recreation and competition. Dien Nguyen was trained and promoted by Grandmaster Chang Hee Yoon, who holds an 8th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, Judo and Hapkido. Grandmaster Yoon trained in the traditional techniques and forms used by the Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters in Seoul Korea, and became Korea's National Judo Champion. He taught Taekwondo, Judo and Hapkido in the United States since 1970 and promoted over 600 Black Belts.
Master Dien Nguyen has been teaching and coaching Taekwondo and Judo since 1980. Dien has been the Head Instructor of four martial arts schools in the Greater St. Louis Area, including his current programs at the Eureka Community Center and with World Martial Arts in Belleville, IL. Dien has trained and promoted over 1800 Taekwondo and Judo students, and coached Junior and Senior National Teams and State Champions. Dien is a 5th Degree Kukkiwon Black Belt in Taekwondo, and has competed in and won numerous Taekwondo tournaments, and is a Missouri State Taekwondo Champion and National Medalist in Sparring and Forms. Dien is also a certified Taekwondo Referee for USA Taekwondo. Dien also holds a 3rd Degree KJA Black Belt in Judo, and is a Life Member of USJA.
Dien's Martial Arts Taekwondo Instructors are Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters Certified Black Belt Instructors and USA Taekwondo (USAT) Tournament Referees that have been trained by Master Instructor Dien Nguyen and Grandmaster Chang Hee Yoon (8th Degree Kukkiwon Black Belt). These Instructors have won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in National, Regional and State Championship Taekwondo Tournaments. Some of the Instructors are also USA Taekwondo Certifed Referees and have refereed in Championship Taekwondo Tournaments.
Dien's Martial Arts Judo Instructors are Korea Judo Association (KJA) Certified Black Belt Instructors and United States Judo Association (USJA) Life Members that have been trained by Master Instructor Dien Nguyen and Grandmaster Chang Hee Yoon (8th Degree KJA Black Belt). The KJA is the National Governing Body for Judo In Korea, and Official Korean organization member in the International Judo Federation (IJF). These Instructors have won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Nationally Sanctioned Judo Tournaments and State Judo Championships.
Dien's school programs allow a student to learn at their own pace, while still accommodating competitive students at the state and national levels. Physical Curriculum includes: Warm-up Exercises, Drill Work, Bag Work, and Sparring for Stamina, Endurance, and Self-Defense. Mental Curriculum includes: Discipline, Respect, Sportmanship, and Confidence. While many martial arts schools are available in the St. Louis area, Dien's Martial Arts offers quality training with flexible class schedules for a reasonable tuition. Dien's strives to preserve the original art forms of Taekwondo and Judo, and offers Self Defense classes that will help in dangerous and potentially life threatening situations.
